Christmas is fast approaching and Feek Racing are hoping classy mare TIZSO WICKED can deliver an early festive present when she heads up the Hume Highway to Saturday's Warwick Farm meeting. The 6yo daughter of Duporth is set to accept in the Benchmark 85 Fillies and Mares over 1400m and promising apprentice Andrew Atkins will take 1.5kg off the allocated 55kg.
With rain forecast during Wednesday and Thursday David Feek is hoping there is a bit of sting out of the track for Saturday's interstate assignment.
'She really excels on a soft track so I am hoping we get a bit of sting out for Saturday. There is rain forecast for the next 48 hours but we'll chance our arm regardless and make the trip, the race looks achievable'. Said David Feek on Tuesday morning after Tizso Wicked's final gallop.
'She worked really well here this morning and will appreciate the step up in trip'.
Tizso Wicked is the second runner in a busy six days ahead for Feek Racing with 5yo Nicconi gelding VICIOUS kicking off proceedings at Yarra Valley on Friday before I AM VINNIE and LIBERTY EXPRESS round out the festivities at home at Mornington next Wednesday.
'We have a few nice chances heading in to the festive season. We have prepared these horses to be running during the off season so that we can place them well and hopefully enjoy some success'. Said David Feek.
'I Am Vinnie is a nice son of I Am Invincible and he will continue to improve once he gets to the races and figures out what he's there to do. I think he'll furnish in to a nice horse once he has a prep under his belt. I am looking forward to his debut'.
'Liberty Express is another debutant for us at home on the 27th and this horse can run a race on debut. She's a 4yo mare who has taken a bit of time to get to the races but she has really improved with every bit of work we've given her. She's another one I am looking forward to getting to the races'.
'Hopefully all four of our Christmas runners can put in a good show and give the team and connections a nice reason to celebrate over the festive season'.
